1．基本の表現31②禁止の意味「〜してはならない」　be prohibited from～-ing，be not allowed to～，may not～ ，no～will be～と同じ意味です。訳例 事前の書面による商品供給者の許諾なしに，本契約の有効期間中，本販売地域内において，販売特約店は本商品に競合する商品の販売代理，製造，市場開拓または販売をしてはならない。without the prior written authorization of〜：～の事前の書面による許諾なしにThe Seller does not employ any person below the age of 16 to produce the Products. Where local standards are higher, no person under the legal minimum age will be employed.訳例 売主は，本件製品を生産するために，16歳未満の者を雇用しない。生産地での労働法基準が上記より厳格な場合には，かかる法的な最低年齢未満の者が雇用されてはならない。Company is prohibited from providing services to a direct or indirect competitor of ABC during the Term.訳例 会社は，本契約期間中，ABCと直接または間接に競合する会社にサービスを提供してはならないものとする。　なお，参考として，shall notが「決して～ない」という「否定の強調」の意味を表す例を下記に挙げます。「否定の強調を表す表現」については，別の章を立てて説明しています。Without the prior written authorization of Supplier, Distributor shall not represent, manufacture, market or sell in the Territory any products which are in competition with the Products for the term of this Agreement.
